sagrađen je na mjestu nekadašnjeg klizališta 1925. godine s ciljem pružanja
vrhunskog smještaja i usluga putnicima glasovitog Orient Expressa

Esplanade, the most prestigious hotel in Zagreb,
was built on a place of an old skating rink, back in 1925, to provide
the accommodation and top-level service to passengers of the famous
Orient Express, traveling from Paris to Venice and Istanbul.
Today, the Esplanade is one of the most elegant buildings in Zagreb
