Easter Celebration Performance, Mar. 27 (Fri.) 9:45~11:15 a.m. イースター発表会３月２７日（金）
The Easter Celebration Performance is scheduled for Friday, March 27. Students are to be at school by 9:00 as
usual. After the performance, students will return to their classrooms and stay at school until regular dismissal
time. Parents who are able to stay and help the PTA prepare for the Easter Fair are requested to stay at school.
School buses will operate as usual on this day.
今年のイースター発表会は３月２７日（金）です。生徒たちは９時には登校させて下さい。発表会終了後、生徒は通常通
りのスケジュールです。翌日のPTAイースターフェアをお手伝いいただける保護者はそのまま学校に残って頂ければ幸
いです。２７日（金）、スクールバスは通常通り運行致します。
PTA Easter Fair, Mar. 28 (Sat.) 10:30 a.m. ~ 3:30 p.m. PTAイースターフェア３月８（土）
The PTA is planning a day of fun for family and friends to come to AIS and enjoy celebrating Easter with food,
games, stage performances and a raffle drawing. School staff will help run the games booths and serve food.
We ask parents to invite their friends to enjoy the fair. Attendance for AIS students will be taken and are
scheduled to perform on stage about 2:00 p.m.
AIS のPTAが、ご家族とお友達のためにフード、ゲーム、ステージやラッフル等みんなが楽しめる内容を計画していま
す。当日、スタッフはゲームやフードのブースの手伝いをします。保護者の皆様にはお友達を誘って、一緒に楽しんでい
ただきたいと思ってます。AISの生徒は登校日でステージでの発表時間は午後２時頃の予定です。
Will this get stuck in the throat? これは喉に詰まりはしないか？
In a recent seminar, information was shared about the danger of objects getting stuck in children’s throats. To
prevent this from occurring it is best to keep ball-shaped objects less than 5.5cm in diameter away from children
(less than 3.9cm for children under age 3). Also, slicing mini tomatoes in half for little children is recommended.
Besides mini tomatoes, other objects that have caused suffocation are: grapes, peanuts, candy and mochi.
Please keep this in mind when preparing meals for children.
保育に役立つ健康知識についてのセミナーで、子供の誤嚥が話題に上り、事故防止のため直径5.5cm以下のボール状の
ものは身の回りにおかないようにという情報を得ました。（3歳児の最大開口径は3.9cmと言われています。）
ミニトマトなどもお弁当に入れるときは切っておくと、誤嚥の予防につながります。その他、誤嚥の原因となりやすい
ものは、ぶどう、ピーナツ、あめ、白玉、などです。日頃から注意して子どもの安全に努めましょう。
Playground Use After School 放課後の園庭の利用について
If you wish to use the playground after school, please consult the school office. Special usage permission for
about 30 minutes may be awarded if there is a responsible adult supervisor. Please use facilities at your own
risk, and do not let children play in the parking lot. The school does have the right to refuse due to weather,
ground condition or other program usage. Thank you for your understanding.
お子様のお迎え後、園庭を利用したい場合は保護者責任者がオフィスで許可を得て、からご利用なってください。自己責
任にて３０分間まで利用できます。それ以降は午後のプログラムの使用や準備がありますので、隣の公園などを使用し
て下さい。その際、車はスクールの駐車場にとめていただいても構いません。駐車場内でのお遊びはご遠慮ください。
園庭や駐車場は天候、園庭の状態、その他プログラムによって使用できない場合もありますのでご了承ください。

Easter Celebration
We have begun the final month of the 2nd term, and our school will enter an Easter Celebration
mode. Easter is a Christian festival celebrating Jesus Christ’s resurrection on the third day after
being being crucified on the cross, as written in the New Testament. At AIS, we observe Easter on
the final Saturday of March each year. Globally, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the
full moon, following the spring equinox falling between March 22 and April 25. This year, Easter
Sunday falls on April 5.
Rabbits and eggs are symbols of Easter, as they symbolize fertility. We are preparing to provide all
children an opportunity to freely participate in an Easter Egg Hunt game during the PTA Easter
Fair.
I thank all parents who have been generous with their time to prepare for the fair and provide raffle
items. PTA representatives have also been working hard to plan for the fair, and will need each
parent’s help this month to make the fair an enjoyable one for all who participate! We still have
decorative Easter Fair fliers to help you invite your friends if necessary. Thank you for helping
distribute them.

復活祭
２学期の最終月が始まる時期にAISは本格的なイースターモードに入ります。日本語でイースターは「復活祭」
と訳され、クリスチャンのお祝いです。聖書に書かれているように、イエスキリストが十字架にかけられ、
亡くなり、三日目によみがえられたことをお祝いする日です。AISでは毎年３月の最終週末にイースターを祝
うことにしています。本来イースターは３月２２日から４月２５日の間、春分の後の最初の満月直後の日曜日で、
毎年変動します。今年のイースターは４月５日（日）です。
うさぎや卵は多産や新しい命を意味するので、よくイースターのシンボルとして使われます。今年のPTA Easter
Fairでは、子供たちに無料でEgg Huntを楽しめ企画を用意しています。
PTAの代表の皆様をはじめ、多くの方が準備のためにお時間やラッフルの賞品をご提供くださっていることを感謝
します。当日参加するみなさまに喜んでいただけるフェアである為には、保護者お一人お一人の手助けが必要と
なりますので、可能な限りのサポートをお願いします。皆様がお友達をPTA Easter Fairにお誘いいただくため
に、案内をご用意しています。ご活用ください。
