「聞く」活動を通して助動詞の復習と定着を図る。
準備するもの
班の数だけのスポーツの絵カード
時間・形態
10 分・グループ
実践方法
1. クラスを４，５人のグループに分け，各班にスポーツの絵カードを 1 セッ
トずつ配る。
2. そのカードを班の中央（机の上）に適当に広げる。
3. 教師は１つの絵について３つの英文を読みあげる。

4. 生徒は英文を聞いて，その内容に合ったスポーツの絵カードをすばやく取
る。
5. 取ったカードの数で優勝を決める。
ワンポイント
●事前に宿題として生徒に英文を作らせて，それを読むようにしてもよい。
バリエーション
●机の中央にカードを積み上げて１枚ずつ引きながら，そのスポーツについて
説明していくという方法もある。
（その場合，デビルカードを混ぜておくとお
もしろい）
1. 中央にカードを裏向きに積み上げ，班内で順番を決める。
2. 順番にカードを取る。取ったカードのスポーツについて，英語で説明する。
英文には必ず助動詞を使い，30 秒以内で言う。
（学習状況により，1 文でも
よい）
3. 説明ができた場合はカードをもらうことができる。できなければ，カード
を山の一番下に戻す。デビルカードが出たら，机の上のカード全てを再度
よく切る。
4. 時間内で最も多くのカードを取った人を優勝とする。

読まれる英文例
・kendo
It has many levels and you usually have a match against a person at the same level.
You have to wear a special uniform and use a long bamboo sword.

You have to wear special shoes on and put on two long boards to do it.
You also have to hold two poles.
table tennis
You must use a small racket and a small ball.
Some Japanese players go to China to practice this sport.
You must play it on a table.
American Football
You have to wear a helmet and body protection gear.
You can tackle and have to run fast.
In the U.S., they have a professional league.
basketball
You must use a ball to play.
You must not walk more than three steps with the ball.
You must dribble when you walk or run with the ball.
・sumo
You can wear only one thing.
You have to use both your skill and power.
The grand champion of this sport is “Yokozuna.”
・soccer
Basically you can’t use your hands.
You should kick the ball when you play the game.
It has an international event every four years.
