AB 650 - Proof of Auto Insurance 自動車保険の証明書に関する新カリフォルニア法 As you may know, all motor vehicle owners in California are required to maintain automobile insurance. This law changed as of January 1, 1997 to include the following new requirements: １９９７年１月１日付で自動車保険の証明に関する新しいカリフォルニア州法が施行されました。従来も自動車保険は各種法令により事実上強制されていましたが、今後取締がより厳しくなります。１：車の保険の証明は常時車内に保管することが義務付けられ、警察官に止められた場合にそれを提示しなければなりません。 Proof of insurance is now required to be carried in the vehicle at all times, and presented upon request to a police officer. 保持していないと、チケットまたは罰金となります。罰金は最低$500 ドルから、最高は$2,000 ドルまでとなっています。社用車を運転していた場合は、雇用主の責任になります。車両は証明を提示するまで強制保管されることもあります。警察官は保険のチェックのためだけに運転者を止める権限は与えられておらず、何か他の違反で停車を指示した時に保険証明の提示を要求できます。 Failure to carry this evidence may result in a citation and fine. The minimum fine is $500, with a potential fine of $2,000. for a second offence. The vehicle may be impounded until proof of insurance is presented. A driver or vehicle owner cannot be cited when stopped solely to check for proof of insurance, only when stopped for a traffic violation. An employee cannot be cited when they are driving a vehicle owned, operated or leased by their employer - in which case the employer would be cited. ２ＤＭＶ (California Department of Motor Vehicles) に車の登録の際、保険証明の提示が必要です。 Proof of insurance is now required to renew the annual motor vehicle registration with the California Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV). 州政府は、保険のＩＤカードのコピーを提示するよう指示しております。従って、現在お持ちの Auto Insurance ID Card を必ず車内保管する一方、車両登録更新時にはその Auto Insurance ID Card のコピーを同封願います。誤って原版をＤＭＶに送付しないようご注意ください。 The forms for the proof of insurance have been specified by the government; your previously issued Automobile Insurance Identification Card will serve as your in-vehicle proof of insurance.
