〈修了要件・学位の種類〉
修了要件・学位 Requirements for Completion of Courses and Degrees
博士前期課程 Master’s Course
博士後期課程 Doctor’s Course
修了要件は、博士前期課程に２年以上在学し、３０単位以上の単位
を修得し、必要な研究指導を受けた上で、大学院の行う学位論文の
審査又は特定の課題についての研究の成果の審査及び最終試験に合
格することです。ただし、在学期間に関して、優れた研究業績を上げ
た者については、博士前期課程に１年以上在学すれば足りるものとし
ています。博士前期課程を修了した者には修士の学位を授与します。
学位に付記する専攻分野の名称は、理学、工学、環境学、農学又は
学術です。
修了要件は、博士後期課程に３年以上在学し、１２単位以上の単位
を修得し、必要な研究指導を受けた上で、大学院の行う学位論文の
審査及び最終試験に合格することです。ただし、在学期間に関して、
優れた研究業績を上げた者については、博士後期課程に１年（２年
未満の在学期間をもって修士課程又は博士前期２年の課程を修了した
者にあっては、当該在学期間を含めて３年）以上在学すれば足りるも
のとしています。博士後期課程を修了した者には博士の学位を授与し
ます。学位に付記する専攻分野の名称は、理学、工学、環境学、農
学又は学術です。
Those who have attended the master’s course for more than
2 years, have completed 30 or more credits, have received
the necessar y research instruction, have passed the final
examination and whose disser tation or research results on
specific topics have been approved by the judging committee,
will be approved as having completed the master’s course.
Those students who have accomplished significant academic
achievement af ter just one year of research may also be
conferred with a master’s degree. Those who have completed
the master’s course will be conferred with a master’s degree in
either Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Agriculture
or Philosophy.
Those who have attended the docter’s course for more than
3 years, have completed 12 or more credits, have received
the necessar y research instruction, have passed the final
examination and whose dissertation has been approved by
the judging committee, will be approved as having completed
the docter’s course. Those students who have accomplished
significant academic achievement af ter just one year of
research may also be conferred with a docter’s degree. (or three
completed the master’s course in less than two years).Those
who have completed the docter’s course will be conferred with
a docter’s degree in either Science, Engineering, Environmental
Science, Agriculture or Philosophy.

Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant Salary System
大学院に在籍する優秀な学生は、TA（博士前期課程・博士後期課程）および RA（博士後期課程）として採用されると、教育・研究補助業務を行
うことでこれに対する給与を受けることができます。
Excellent students at a graduate school are employed as TA(master’s course. docter’s course) and RA (docter’s couse) and
can receive the salary for auxiliary works of education and research.

Japanese Language Courses for
International Students
A variety of Japanese language classes are offered for
international students. In addition to the seven different
levels of courses , classes that focus on specific
language skills or specific topics are offered as well. In
order to enroll in a Japanese class, you must register
online and take the placement test at a designated
computer room on the day indicated on the Homepage
below.

外国人留学生・研究員宿泊施設
Dormitory for International Students & Researchers
外国人留学生が長期滞在できる宿泊施設は学内に３つあります。そのうち
１つは外国人研究者と留学生混住の宿泊施設です。この宿泊施設はいず
れも１年間入居することができます。
Okayama University has three dormitories dedicated to international
students. One dormitory is for foreign researchers and international
students. International students can live in this residence for one
year from their entrance to the university.
