Salem, Ore - The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Nestucca Access Road has reopened 1/4 mile east of Alder Glen Campground in Tillamook County, (23 road miles west of Carlton and 15 road miles east of Beaver). Nestucca Access Road is known as Blaine Road coming from the west, and Meadow Lake Road coming from the east.

A campground host resides in their personal recreational vehicle (RV) at the campground they are hosting, and is responsible for: Greeting guests, Helping guests solve problems, Cleaning exterior and interior facilities (particularly bathroom buildings), Maintaining camp sites and restrooms
Salem, Ore - The Alsea Falls Mountain Trail Bike (MTB) Festival and Oregon Bicycle Racing Association State XC Championships are being held this weekend at the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Alsea Falls Recreation Area. On Saturday, August 8, (9 am-3 pm), there will be a Mudslinger mountain bike race, and on Sunday, Team Dirt will host a non-profit shuttle day fundraiser. Approximately 200 people are expected to participate in the event on designated trails in the area.
Salem, Ore - On July 13-15, Cycle Oregon will sponsor a road bike event starting and ending in Corvallis, Oregon. Nearly 2,000 riders are expected to participate. On July 14, the event will travel on the Bureau of Land Management's South Fork Alsea Scenic Byway. The Alsea Falls Day Use Area will be closed to the public on July 14. The Alsea Falls campground and the trail system in the area will remain open to the public, although the drivers should be aware of increased bike traffic on the road. Alsea Falls Day Use Area will reopen on July 15.
