Enjoy a fun evening of food and wine, and some wonderful live entertainment! The evening's program will begin with a taiko performance by KODO star soloist, Masayuki Sakamoto. After the exciting auctions and four-course dinner, the finale at this not-to-be-missed event will be Saori Mine, former member of the Takarazuka Revue Company and star of “Takarazuka Chicago” recently on stage in New York and Tokyo. Jon Kabira, noted radio personality and TV presenter, will be the auctioneer. In the live and silent auctions a marvelous array of exclusive items will be yours for the bidding, including original artworks by Toko Shinoda and Mai Miyake, and rare prints by artists including Masanari Murai, Fumio Kitaoka and Junichiro Sekino. There are also luxury onsen stays, gorgeous jewelry, and unique and fun opportunities such as visiting the Kyoto studio of Print Show artist, Joel Stewart, and getting to go backstage during filming with director/producer Yoko Narahashi, former CWAJ scholar. All proceeds will go to support CWAJ scholarships for women, Japan's visually impaired community, and to young print artists, and also to our projects providing support to Fukushima communities which were devastated by the 2011 disasters.
